José Tomás Contreras
José Tomás Contreras (he/him), 26, is a music composer and sound designer based in Santiago, Región Metropolitana, Chile. After graduating from high school in 2013, where he did lots of music performance and acting, he enrolled at IP Escuela Moderna de Música y Danza to pursue a career in Composition & Arranging. There he developed skils at writing for different ensembles, style composing, music production, and software use. Meanwhile he formed and joined different artistic projects, with roles ranging from guitarist in the rock/pop band Arrecifes, and as an arranger and instrumentalist in theater productions. He’s a massive videogame nerd thanks to Zelda and Chrono Trigger, thus he mixed both passions of music and gaming. Currently he’s the recurring composer and sound designer at Santiago-based indie dev team Quiet Games, and has been self-learning sound implementation, and joining gamejams. He loves dogs, cats, waching video-essays, RPG’s, platformers, and bread.
